Alan Rumsey “The Governor”
Alan, a semi-retired sales executive, now serves as a mentor to recruits at A.F. Blakemore & Sons Ltd. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of Chairman at Denbigh Hall Club, a role he has dedicated himself to for 15 years. With a remarkable 40 years of experience in dart playing, Alan has been an active participant in the Watford and MK leagues since 1980. His sporting interests extend beyond darts to include pool and snooker, boasting a highest snooker break of 35. In his personal life, Alan celebrates 40 years of marriage to his wife Lyn and cherishes the joys of fatherhood with two sons, Jason (42 years old) and Steven (40 years old). He also takes pride in his role as a grandfather to Oscar (11 years old) and Isla-Rae (6 years old), with Oscar following in his footsteps by playing for 501’s and two league teams. Alan’s hobbies include darts, golf, and being a loyal supporter of Manchester United.
